Jacquard Blanket Robe - Four Corners

DESCRIPTION

These traditional wool blankets from Pendleton are robe size, making them large enough to be worn, wrapped around oneself for warmth and weather protection. These blankets fit perfectly over a double bed, can be used for wall hangings or just for staying warm on the sofa.

From Pendleton: “Located on the Colorado Plateau, a bronze disk marks Four Corners, the only point in the United States shared by four states (Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Utah). The spot also marks the boundary of the Navajo Nation and the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe Reservation. The historic location inspired this blanket design, featuring repeated intersections in a traditional nine-element pattern.”

  • Material: 82% pure virgin wool / 18% cotton / Felt-bound
  • Napped: Fabric is combed for a softer, thicker feel
  • Manufacture: Made in the USA
  • Size: 64" x 80" (163 x 203 cm)
  • Care: Dry clean only

    PROVENANCE AND ETHICS

Pendleton's family history in Oregon dates back to 1863 when Thomas Kay, a young English weaver opened his own mill in Salem, Oregon. In 1909 Thomas's three grandsons, Clarence Morton Bishop, Royal Thomas Bishop, and Robert Chauncey Bishop opened Pendleton Woolen Mills. Six generations later Pendleton Woolen Mills is still run in Oregon by the Bishop family.
